What about a videographer for our Scotland elopement?
Is it necessary to have a wedding video? We think it's crucial that you do. Why? Really, it couldn't be easier. Would you choose to watch the wedding video of your parents or grandparents if given the chance? Videos stimulate your perceptions, recollections, and feelings. Even if the concept of a "family" seems far off right now, think about how great it would be to watch the movie with your own kids one day. Also, those who were unable to attend the ceremony can now watch the video at their convenience.
Videography and Photography Go Hand in Hand
Video uses the power of music, sound, and motion to capture the essence of your special day more effectively than still photographs. If you want to relive one of the most incredible days of your life, a moving image is like a beautiful time machine that transports you back to that day. Boom! awesome, right? That’s how your day of elope to scotland.
Then, how do I go about picking the right videographer to capture our elopement?
The answer to this question depends on the genre of movie you're hoping to watch. There is a wide range of styles among wedding movies. There is a wide variety of storytelling styles available, from the classic/romantic to the journalistic (also known as documentary and reportage) and the cinematic.
You may have heard the term "fusion" bandied about recently. If you could define the term "fusion," what would you say it means? Combining still images and moving images. The basic premise is that you hire a professional photographer to document your wedding day by taking still images and video of the most meaningful moments, and then integrate these highlights in a final photo gallery.
Fusion is not something we engage in.
To put it simply, we don't do roundups or highlights. Our focus in making this movie was on creating a compelling plot that centered around you two. We don't want to dilute our approach by picking and choosing which moments to record on the big day (Sean will be concentrating solely on video, Justyna on photography). To us, the entire wedding day is the most important part of the day, and we intend to treat it as such. Remember, we mean no offense. If you're more interested in snippet-style filming, we'd be pleased to introduce you to some badass people who do fusion wonderfully.
Just how expensive is hiring a videographer?
Advantage number two to having a small wedding/elopement: you can invest the money you would have spent on venues, caterers, and expensive party favors in something far more valuable: a video documenting your fairytale elopement.
As always, the answer is conditional on your desired level of quality and scope of protection. The cost will often be comparable to hiring a professional photographer. You should shop around, compare costs, check out some of their movies, and see if there's a chemistry.
Although the cost of professional photography and videography for an elopement may seem prohibitive to some couples, the investment is often well worth it.
Photos and film are included in all-inclusive package.
Our goal is to capture elopements as though we were "a fly on the wall," or completely unobtrusively, but we will also direct with an eye for sensitivity. We are all for capturing the moment, whether it involves wading through knee-deep water, lounging in the sun, or braving a snowstorm. Today is your lucky day, so enjoy it to the most. Getting your dress a tiny bit filthy won't even register in your mind. What you felt for one another will stay with you forever. After all these years, we hope our film serves as a touching recollection of that moment.
